A note from the photographer: “These are scenes in and around Metro Manila from the imposition of the enhanced community quarantine ordered by President Rodrigo Duterte. Metro Manila, being one if the most dense population in the world, had to abruptly halt most businesses and follow the health directives of staying home as the medical frontliners grapple with the growing number of covid19 cases. As if time stood still, it is those who live in the margins that will be hit hardest due to little protection from the virus but also the need to work side jobs as the distribution of aid is fluctuating.”
