“Fake News”

A note from the artist: “I made this piece inspired by a conversation I had with my parents today while watching the news. The prime minister had called for a show of solidarity by asking all Indians to switch of their lights, and light candles in their balconies at 9:00pm for 9 mins. A great idea to get everyone together in these tough times. Not enough to get rid of this virus, however(obviously). When we were watching the news, they had added their own twists, biases and opinions to it. This piece is a comment on the state of fake news today. Weren’t news channels supposed to be mainly fact based, leaving it to the audience to make an opinion? Just something to think about. Don’t believe everything you see, make your own judgements.”
