“Friendstance"
Collage by artist Rachel Linnemann
A note from the artist: “My name is Rachel Linnemann, I am a first year interdisciplinary MFA student. Before the recent changes, I had been working on a large scale installation and had planned on manipulating an aluminum form that I poured. Both of these projects are on the back burner. My work is a reflection on trauma and identity within my own life. The identity of someone with memories of rape and recently focusing on identity, post divorce. Moving my practice into my home has pushed me back into painting and I've been doing a collage a day to reflect on this crisis. This time has had me focusing on what it means to be "alone" during isolation and how it relates to my previous experiences.”
