A note from the artist: “I have lupus / rheumatoid arthritis and my medication, hydroxychloroquine, has been all over the news. I’ve been having a lot of anxiety due to the spread of misinformation, and I have been especially worried about the stare of my hands. Both of these images were taken in my small backyard, as I try to calm my fears and turn them into something almost tangible - or something I feel I can control.”
